Safety and Handling

Gloves Off Option –

  • Lightweight with two built in carry handles on the ends of the tray, making it easy for a one or two person lift the tray, with the Pro Tray Professional Plastic Core Tray protective gloves is an option, with the clever, comfortable and safe build in handle design of the Tray there is no sharp edges on the tray to cut or injure the users’ hands, resulting in less work-related injuries due to unnecessary cuts – potential reduction in down time.
  • The Tray is a light grey plastic product that does not heat up in the sun like a steel tray would do, making it safer and easier for the user to handle the tray without gloves.

  • Manufactured from a high-quality VIRGIN, UV-stabilized polypropylene and is designed to withstand the harsh African Sun.

Robust

  • The Tray is designed and manufactured with reinforced ribs to withstand rough handling.
  • The trays are non-corrosive and chemically inert, no more corrosion or contamination or picking up a metal core trays that fall apart due to ongoing corrosion allowing safe, long-term storage of core samples.

Non-Magnetic

  • The trays are non-magnetic and therefore inert when testing for magnetic susceptibility.

Stacking and Nesting

  • The Tray is designed to nest 40% when transported making it economical to transport.
  • The clever interlocking stacking design means that the trays stack perfectly on top of each other without the tray above touching the core in the tray below.

  • The Trays have the same footprint so you can stack the different sized trays (NQ, HQ, PQ) on top of each other when changing the core barrel size within a drill hole.
  • Pro Tray Plastic Core Tray are designed to stack with most other plastic and steel core trays.
  • The core samples do not touch once stacked, maintaining your core integrity at all times.

What is Happening To our Trays On The Tray it Self

  •  We have listened to our clients, consulted geologist and exploration companies and all agreed we need to make it easier get the details of the Tray contents.
  • The idea is to make is simpler, easier to identify a tray for core logging and we have decided to change our mould to include a build in stencil indicator on top of our trays to mark the tray and core details.
  • The stencil build-in indicators will assist with core scanning technology, which work perfectly with geological photography. Clearly indicating detailed information of the physical tray.
  • The Stencil build indicators on the tray will be: Bore Hole Number – Tray Number – From Depth and To Depth indicator
  • The bold indicators give clarity to drillers and reduce potential errors.
